The Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Conference (ACYC) annually draws around 400 students and youth ministers to Orange Beach for a time of spiritual growth, fellowship and fun. ACYC’s goal is to foster unity among our various parishes and to energize them in their faith as we invite our youth deeper into a relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. If you have never attended or have gone to the past 50, welcome! This is always a great weekend & everyone in the Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry is excited to build the Kingdom of God with you one day at a time.
ACYC Theme:
16And passing along by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. 17And Jesus said to them, “Follow me and I will make you become fishers of men.” 18And immediately they left their nets and followed Him. 19And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. 20And immediately he called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and followed Him. -Mark 1:16-20
This years theme is “The Call” focusing on our vocational call to Holiness. Reflecting on this verse in Mark we can see how Jesus calls us in the chaos of our lives yet by the example of Simon, Andrew, James, & John we can see that if we trust in Jesus we will find everything provided for. We are excited to go deeper into this theme through our various talks and activities. We invite you to join us this February 27 - March 1, 2026 at Perdido Beach Resort. We pray that by God’s grace and through the intercession of St. James & St. John, we may be inspired to give ours lives to the Lord and follow Him in His path to Calvary.
